Wednesday, 2 January 2008. The Curious Incident of A Duck In The Day-time, Night-time, Day-time, and another Night-time. It's not a word to be used lightly. Ben Hur is an epic. The Iliad is an epic. Villa's 4-4 draw with Chelski on Boxing Day was an epic. Epics are filled with challenges to be faced, triumphs over adversity, and occasional lessons in car waxing by wise Japanese mentors. No deal. Food Blog – The trawlerman. Trawling through the best of food blogland. March 9, 2008 in Uncategorized. Often, Sundays for me are spent pottering around the house or lounging in front of the TV nursing a hangover and maybe drinking a few bloody marys. Today, however, I’ve already managed to make it into the city, do some shopping and scan some of the food blogs that have been catching my eye. Has cooked a delicious chocolate amaretto torte that looks firm and self-indulgent. Happy Birthday by the way.

75g short grain rice, preferably Arborio. 600ml full fat milk. Heat the oven to 150 C. Using an oven proof pan (you’ll need a lid later too) melt butter at a low temperature, but take care not to let it transform into a beurre noisette. Once melted stir in the sugar, rice and milk. Allow to bubble but not boil and stir well. Cover with the lid and place in the oven for 90 minutes, remembering to stir at 30 minute intervals to ensure an even consistency. From → Desserts. And, I wonder. October 15, 2014. The clock strikes 2 AM. I stand at the window watching. A dust storm brew in your trail. I am thankful that you did not stay,. Because I wanted you lost. I must admit though I cannot help but conjecture. If your mind ever wanders where you are not. The street lamp flickers away in the windy night. Dimming once in a while, but never faltering. It lends passing comfort to the tramp sheltered in its shadow,. Adding its warmth to his half-lit cigarette. That love is not enough.

No crying onion cutting. The no cry onion solution. Some may tell you:. Cut under water or running water (moderate success, but you get wet onions). Whistle (it blows away the chemicals, weak success). But the no fail solution is…. 8230; to wear goggles. Serious. It works every time. Even if your DB thinks you are a plonker. I have sensitive eyes and I can cut onions like a demon when I wear my swimming googles. The smarting chemicals can’t reach your eyes. From → Food. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter ...
Roast Goose and Cooking Times | Foodie Foodie

Roast Goose and Cooking Times. We had roast goose for Christmas, and I think it was the best one yet. I forgot to take pictures though (edit: pictures from this year now below). Yes that’s less than an hour, with then a 30 minute rest period. On Food and Cooking. Fame – a must have. McGee concludes although cooking the breast / legs separately results i...

Tuesday, 20 January 2009. So long for now. The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed how long it's been since my last post - a good month and a half. Unfortunately balancing business, baby, and blogging is proving tricky and sadly something has got to give. So I've quit my job and put the baby up for adoption. Only joking of course. In the words of the Governor of California, I'll be back. Sunday, 7 December 2008. Far better to buy something a little cheaper, a little more, how shall I put it, common,...
