Feathers and Flight Historical Falconry. All of our owls are captive bred and hand reared, from around two to three weeks old. This process is called imprinting, and allows them to become very tame and used to working around people. Our main ring bearing owl is a two year old male barn owl named Flynn. He is very patient and friendly, and very photogenic too! You will often see them swooping along hedgerows or across fields at dusk. They can suprise you at night, as their flight is totally silent.
