From Moscow with Love...: April 2011
http://johnandjodi.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
From Moscow with Love. Sunday, April 17, 2011. After our sleigh ride, we toured the Trinity Monastery, a beautiful church built in 1420. Sveta prepared a Russian style dinner for us. We had borscht, pickled herring (yuck! Beef stew served in clay pots and more blinis for dessert. Of course all washed down with vodka! Before heading back to Moscow, we spent some time touring the Cave Monastery. It was great to get out of the city, away from the noise and enjoy what Russia has to offer.

Ethan's Vivifying Adventures: November 2013
http://ethansvivifyingadventures.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 16, 2013. Time flies whilst gainfully employed. The weeks are already clipping by at a rapid pace, now that some sort of routine has been established at and away from work. It has been a long while since I’ve had this out in “the world”, as I usually conceptualized non-South Pole living over the preceding years. I have regularly been walking to and from work, which is a pleasant way to begin and end the workday hours. I certainly have challenge enough in that regard these days. My trai...

Ethan's Vivifying Adventures: January 2014
http://ethansvivifyingadventures.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

I have been doing a lot of solo research at work lately, since we are being withheld from most instructor-led training until after attending a series of classes called ISS Boot Camp that will kick off sometime in February. Bill, wherever in th...

From Moscow with Love...: Stalin's Bunker
http://johnandjodi.blogspot.com/2011/03/stalins-bunker.html
From Moscow with Love. Saturday, March 12, 2011. Alin built multiple alternate command posts on the outskirts of Moscow. This particular bunker was built in the late 30's. The construction was hidden like most secret military building by building a civilian structure over top to hide the construction going on underground. In this case a huge sports complex that would hold 200,000 spectators. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Travelin with the Rev. View my complete profile.
