Ulverstone River Retreat is very focused on conserving the surrounding beauty for generations to come. Both buildings have double-glazed windows positioned to maximize the winter sun. They are built on energy conserving concrete slabs with above standard insulation in walls and ceilings. Combined with heat pumps and panel heating, the apartments are kept to a comfortable temperature using minimal energy. While training you will learn throwing techniques as well as a ground techniques which includes a full range of grappling from hold downs to arm locks and strangles.
