Up a Lazy River. Saturday, December 31, 2011. Goodbye 2011, you were, well, a year. Not the worst, not the best. But frankly I don't think in those terms anyway. Life happens not in 365 day increments but in a continuous flow, like a river, with some whitewater now and again. Anyway, it seems to be that time of year to make resolutions, here are mine. 1 Take the opportunities offered to continue to add to my circle. Up a Lazy River. Monday, January 02, 2012. Time to Get Some. First, please, please, God of Shin Splints let me still be able to hobble in a few hours. It’s time to get some stones, set my chin, harden my resolve and make some changes. It’s time to take my health in hand. A few weeks ago I went to a gathering of bloggers in Vegas. Some I had met previously, but most I was meeting for the first time. A few were about to run a half marathon down the Vegas Strip. One of the runners sticks out in my memory.
