Scattered Revelations: January 2015
http://www.scatteredrevelations.net/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 29, 2015. As you might have noticed I have had a bit of writer's block lately when it comes to posting here. I have been searching for words and finally realized how weighed down I feel. Some of this is winter which I have previously shared. Is the season I struggle with the most. I hate being cold! Hated the feeling of pants under my jeans! How many of us are pushed to our knees praying that our pain be washed away? Are you praying your pain be washed away? What helps lift the burden?

Monday, February 23, 2015. I am White and Why It Matters. I preached this sermon on Sunday February 22, 2015 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Outer Banks. Story: The Duke Who Outlawed Jelly Beans. Reading: An excerpt from Dear White America. Over and over in every area of life - education, work, housing, government, health, religion - race makes a difference. Race plays a role. So what are we as a liberal people of faith to do? What is our response? Does our faith have something to say?

Scattered Revelations: June 2015
http://www.scatteredrevelations.net/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. It is What It Is and It Ain't What It Ain't. I say that is the worst thing one can say because there is nothing that can be done with that. Do you have a time machine or time turner like in Harry Potter? I can't go back in time and change it, all I can do is move forward from now. So thank you Alice for the reminder that it is what it is and it ain't what it ain't. Now to keep putting one foot in front of the other making the best decisions I can staying in the present moment.
