For our tastings, we use only tequilas made from 100 percent blue agave, cultivated in Jalisco which has ideal growing conditions for the agave plant. We have locations for the tastings in the Marina or downtown Puerto Vallarta. For groups in private villas or condos we can bring the tastings to you! Escamoles (ant eggs) at Sonora Grill Prime. March 1, 2015. Perhaps it was my second martini talking but i looked at Ricardo and I said “let’s go for it”! They arrived in a sizzling hot cast iron plate with tortillas on the side. I would describe them as a crunchy, smoky pine nut, a little too much on the oily side for me but i was still glad we had finally tried them. I encourage anyone who has an adventurous palate to head over to Sonora Grill Prime. In the marina and give them a try! To post a comment.

Lobo and Corinna came to our private villa in Puerta Vallarta for a unique beginner’s tequila tasting. We had a lot of fun! Lobo is so engaging in his presentation of tequila and the different types available. He definitely dispelled the misbelief we had that tequila had to be shot back quickly! We tasted a blanco, reposado and an anejo and had no headache the next day!
