Guitar Gear is my website I use to distribute the fantastic guitars and accessories I bring back from Vietnam, where I go to help raise child sponsorship for under privileged and orphaned children. Proceeds go towards the work over there. Three years ago I found a fantastic Luthier who has a range of guitars that he makes. I generally bring back my personal favourite, as per the pics. I can also bring back Tuners, Strings and other accessories.

Sponsorship of Village Children of the Meekong Delta. NZ150 per year will keep them in school and provide an education. So far we have 15 children sponsored. Click here for details. A couple in their later years have felt the call to go back to Vietnam after meeting during the war. For security reasons, they can not be named, however they have established 12 shelters in the Ho Chi Minh area and a home for young teenage pregnant girls. A school to support disabled young people in training and education.

Vietnam kids are just are group of people from New Zealand interested in supporting various projects involving under priveleged kids in Vietnam. Not out to re-invent the wheel, we just look for worthy and integral projects that are making effective use of funding coming from overseas. One such group are the Australian Group Coolum Vietnam Support Group. Have established contacts with people and projects that focus on education and health needs and are doing a fabulous job with no over heads.

Wednesday, 29 August 2012. Whatever you did for the least of My brothers and sisters, you did for Me (Jesus). Today we saw true love in action. A couple who have given up their comfortable lifestyle to save the lives of Vietnamese kids, but not only that, to raise them as their own when necessary. In the few years they have been there, they have probably worked with over 200 young teenage mums. Can you imagine being able to say that you have probably saved 200 lives? Singing to us . soooooo beautiful.

Tuesday, 16 April 2013. This month I will be visiting Vietnam with my son. We will be visiting the children we sponsor in the Mekong Villages and hopefully gaining some new sponsorship. We will also be paying for a group of 30 'shelter kids' to have a day at the pools and to give them a treat. :-) and visiting the Peace Village again where the Agent Orange Children are looked after.
