August 22, 2014. Trippel Trappel" and "Oma". The first half of 2014 I worked as a background artist on the Dutch animated feature "Trippel Trappel", with the awesome team at Creative Conspiracy in hometown Ghent! The movie is based on the Dutch tradition of Sinterklaas, the same guy that actually inspired Santa Claus in the USA. January 6, 2013. I really like the place where I currently live with my girlfriend and our cat. It's a small 1880s working-class street, with a common garden in the middle, surrounded by two peaceful waterways. To celebrate the holidays and the fact that our little street turned 125 last year (if I'm not mistaken), we had a little drink in december, so I did this illustration for an invitation. January 19, 2015. A year ago I worked as a background painter on the TV-Special "Little Houdini". It's about the great Houdini when he was. little! Here's a selection of the work I did. Some of the images have some pretty nasty jpeg artifacts. Oh well, that's the internet! Although I really enjoyed doing these, I could only work during the first half of the production because I had to work on the BGs of "Trippel Trappel". I'll post some work from that soon! April 4, 2013. Belgium at the top of the world in animation? Well, that might not be entirely true. yet. This week National Television made a small item about animation in Belgium. Which is good for my blog, because it shows glimpses of precisely those four productions I worked on for the last two years. Cute short "Mia" for whom I did the color script. January 6, 2013. In memorandum for the centennial of WO I in 1914, the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF) decided to fund some One minute shorts based on the theme "peace". The movies will be shown on the big screen in front feature films throughout 2014. Together with my friend Dries Bastiaensen.
