If we all had a Ferrari, i bet we would wash it every week, clean the inside most days, be on time with it's service and love it like nothing else - and this is how we need to treat our body. Saturday, April 11, 2009. Australian Ironman 2009 - My Learning experience. So I have come off some interesting results. WA Ironman saw me pull in a 10 minute PB although an ITB issue put the breaks on at around 8 k’s into the run so a 11hr:14 min was the end result – Yes a PB but not what I was aiming for. Off to Geelong for the 70.3 and for me, I was able to put in a really solid race with a 12 minute PB and a time of 4:47. Saturday, December 8, 2007. As we move into summer, all my training and focus us on Pt Maq - April 2008. So with the heavy amount of training it was time to really stick tight and true to my diet. Thursday, December 11, 2008. So it starts like this. The biggest ETPA crew heads to WA to have a crack at the Ironman. A few first timers at IM and a few that have done them before. Tuesday, April 1, 2008. There is no tomorrow". Well the time has come. 5 and 1/2 days until I take battle with not only 1600 other hardcore athletes but also myself with the aim of putting a sizable PB next to my name in the 2008 Ironman Australia in Pt Macquarie on Sunday 6th April. Coach Tippet at ETPA has provided me with the platform over the winter months and along with PB's in both my Half Ironman's that I competed in, I feel healthy in both mind and body. Sunday, January 20, 2008. When it rains they sleep". Today was the end of week one of an endurance phase which has seen lots of K's riding and running. Today, Pistol Pete and I rode out on our journey towards to cold and wet town of Ballarat - and we weren't disappointed - Yep, it rained all the way there and half the way back! I must say that riding with Pistol is fantastic as his passion and reason for doing what we do is first class. and he can ride! He has an engine and it's about to be unleashed!
