Wales Largest Privatly Owned Hatchery. All transportation of fish is arranged by the hatchery. NO fish can be collected directly from site. Ensure, that before any stocking is undertaken, a written stocking consent (known as S30 stocking consent) is obtained from Environment Agency Wales, the hatchery will assist with the necessary hatchery information required. All delivery charges will be agreed at time of placing orders.

Llyn-Y-Fan Trout and Salmon Hatchery was established in 1994 at a dissused, Welsh Water supply site in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The hatchery's water supply is from the natural, legendary, Mystical waters of Llyn-y-fan Lake, its 25 acres area, approx 90 feet deep, ensuring the water temperature is cool, constant, and pollution free.

Viv Bradshaw and Olwen Hardwick from the hatchery were the winners of the prestigious "Countryside Alliance Rural Enterprise Award" for Wales, back in January. Conservation/Restoration schemes are currently operating on the river Towy, in Carmarthenshire supported by CFF (Carmarthen Fisherman's Federation), on the river Teifi in Ceredigion supported by TFF (Teifi Fisherman's Federation) and smaller schemes on the river Taf, Carmarthenshire and river Ogmore, bridgend.
