Wanna Be Snobbery: Sri Lanka Day 4 - The Last Day

http://www.wannabesnobbery.blogspot.com/2012/12/sri-lanka-day-4.html

Sunday, December 30, 2012. Sri Lanka Day 4 - The Last Day. This last day in Sri Lanka was a bit anti-climactic, not to ruin the excitement of a new post. It was about a four hour drive back to the airport in Columbo, and having seen a lot of temples in the last four days, we tried to get up the energy to stop at one last World Heritage site along the way. It was pouring rain when we arrived that morning, and no one was happy about it, including the stray dogs waiting patiently outside hoping for a handout.

Wanna Be Snobbery: December 2010

Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Myanmar - Parting Shots. For our last half day in Myanmar was a bit anti-climactic as we did very little else besides shop for some last minute souvenirs, but we did spy a few interesting things along the way. Here's a local "bus", for those whom the normal mode a transportation is too slow. Hop on one of these and you speed to your next destination. Just hang on tight if you should happen to get one of the outside seats. Hope to be back one day. Soon. Monday, December 20, 2010.

http://www.wannabesnobbery.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Saturday, July 21, 2012. Sri Lanka - Day 2 Part 2. Back in the car for the afternoon, not sure where we were going next, but a good guess was that it was probably buddhist and old! Again, our guide parked the car, got out and started walking without saying a word. You could actually see this monument from the parking lot, so we knew to follow him, so that was nice. Paying a small fee for someone to watch our shoes, we headed in. Buddhist flags around the base. Orange: The Buddha's teachings – wisdom.

Wanna Be Snobbery: August 2012

http://www.wannabesnobbery.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Thursday, August 16, 2012. Author's Note: I know most people won't read this anyway because there are no pictures, but germaphobes especially should skip this. Don't say I didn't warn you. My empty stomach and aching feet were really looking forward to a quick foot massage before going back to the hotel for a big dinner. Pulling off the highway, our guide bumped into a dirt parking lot in front of a small building. We went inside and up to the front desk, where it was quickly apparent they did not. David...

http://mandkfaraway.blogspot.com/2010/10/hello-ha-noi.html

Our Life in Singapore. Thursday, October 28, 2010. It just so happens that Ha Noi was celebrating its 1,000 year anniversary during the time that we chose to go so the place was PACKED! OK, so day 1. We arrived in the afternoon and decided to do a quick over view of the city. We didn't want to see TOO much because we'd hired a guide to show us around the next morning. Our first walk down the street outside of our hotel. Motorcycles everywhere.just like in Ho Chi Minh City. Ha Noi, Day 2.

Our Life in Singapore. Friday, November 20, 2009. Faber Point and the Henderson Waves Bridge. On Sunday afternoon we ventured out to Mt. The afternoon was perfect for a day outside.it was hot (but really, when is it not hot in Singapore? A view from Faber Point. Matt led the way to the bridge :). And because ...

http://mandkfaraway.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Our Life in Singapore. Sunday, August 29, 2010. If you've been reading the blog for a little while then you know that back in April we traveled to Vietnam. And met my dad's family for the very first time. The family members included my cousins, Hung and Ngan. They were both so sweet and we knew right away that we wanted to be sure. They visited us here a few weeks ago and we spent 3 fun-filled days getting to know more about them. It's so great to have "new" family members! Strolling along Orchard Road.

http://mandkfaraway.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Our Life in Singapore. Saturday, October 30, 2010. Ha Noi, Day 2. The lucky gal passed right out and slept the whole night through :). Needless to say, I was sort of in a haze for all of day 2 and only half aware of what was going on around me. Still, I managed to capture a few good shots which is all that really matters, right? The large statue is Ly Thai To. Look him up if you want to know more :) There was a show going on on this stage in celebration of 1000 years of Ha Noi. Thursday, October 28, 2010.

First, I have to comment that our new apartment is 1/3 larger than our old one and we can’t get over the difference some space makes. It’s FUN cooking now when you actually have the room to spread out. And the washer and dryer are awesome! Or just kind of dorky? Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Our Life in Singapore. Monday, March 29, 2010. A Day Worth Documenting. Something BIG happened two weeks ago. Something absolutely monumental. Something that shocked me as much as the day Matt proposed or the day I found out we were moving to the other side of the world. OK, I'm not talking ramen noodles here. I'm talking all out, chef-style cooking. He chopped. He sauteed. He seasoned. And me? Our Life in Singapore. Monday, September 27, 2010. Our third day in China also happened to be my birthday :) . and a nice birthday gift would have been the opportunity to sleep in, but our jam packed schedule didn't allow that! Instead, I found myself up at 6 am and headed to the Temple of Heaven Park. Why so early? Well, we wanted to be sure and catch people doing taichi! Turns out, we got to see people doing all. Of excercise in the park. We saw a bit of line dancing. A bit of yoga? Let's just say we w...
