Thursday, February 25, 2010. BYU Softball players visit Washington Elementary. The Brigham Young University softball team visited us Thursday February 12, 2010. A 2nd and 4th grade adopted BYU as their college of choice. The team visited these two classes. They discussed colleges and how to work hard and learn. Thursday, March 26, 2009. Mrs Olson was chosen "The Best Teacher on the Planet" by 94.1 The Planet radio station. Mrs. Shelley nominated her - telling them that she is an intern driving down from Cedar City every day with a 5 year old son - and the first three months were with no pay because it was considered her student teaching. And that was back when gasoline was four bucks a gallon! She is fresh, inspiring, and willing to learn and do whatever it takes to get these kids to learn! Class of the Week.

Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Washington jumped in with both feet and big hearts to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. In total, our school raised $1,064 in our “Quarters Against Cancer” Campaign. On Monday, April 20, students covered thousands of laps on our school track. He thought for a few seconds.the blurted out "Baseball.Father's vs. Sons" I said.cool! Easiest party I will ever throw. All of the dad's except for 2 showed up. It was a BLAST! He has thanked me 5 or 6 times for the best birthday part EVER! He is pretty passionate about his baseball. He is a true competitive Staheli! Happy 9th Birthday Dawson! All the dad's and sons.
