Eastwards lie the beautiful villages of Lynton and Lynmouth linked by the historic cliff railway, and the glacial Valley of Rocks. Geologically, Watermouth is a drowned river valley. The river is the River Sterridge, which although it may appear rather insignificant, is formed by several very minor streams coming together. Westwards is a major local amenity is the world class surfing beaches at Croyde, Woolacombe and Saunton.

Founded in 1971 . Visitors’ keys are available from committee members, ask any member. Is a beautiful and unspoilt naturally drying harbour a piece of heaven offering peace and tranquility amongst the turmoil of modern life and marinas. The membership of Watermouth Yacht Club extends a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors. We have a membership of around 60 including fishing boats, motor boats as well as yachts. Visitor moorings, use of the slip, water and diesel are available from the Harbour Master.
