Two BR blue Class 40s are seen on two tank trains at Bescot on a murky day in April 1974, in the vicinity of the Down Local sidings. I took the shot through the window of the kitchen above the office block which partially explains the poor quality of the print. A blue Class 47 can also be glimped in the background. The Up Hump lines in the foreground were still in use for "humping" wagons into the Upside Yard at that time!
