Summer in the City. We went away for a few weeks and had a great time. We spent a couple days with friends in Iowa. They were kind enough to turn their home into a wonderland for the boys. They brought out the toys their kids grew up with and set up a pool for Isaac in the backyard. We drove on and landed in Indianapolis. Theo was happy to be out of the car. He gave us a talking to about the long drive. We visited the children's museum. There was a lot of cousin time. There was brother time.

Grandma B. came to visit six days after Theo was born. She likes to see them early and we like to have her here to help. So, it all works out pretty well. She held Theo a lot and found lots of great ways to keep Isaac entertained. She also did a fair bit of laundry and kept up with the dishes. Here's a glimpse from her visit. We all say a big thanks to Grandma B. for her love, and time, and patience. Many people have come by to meet and welcome Theo into the world. Here are a few. We'll never turn back.

Isaac turns four today. The last few days he's been trying to understand when exactly this would happen. When he woke up this morning he asked if he was four now. And yes Isaac, now you are four. He made some muffins to take to school for his friends. Later today Carl and I will join him in his classroom for the birthday celebration. He woke up to find birthday balloons on his chair at the table. He loves the balloons AND their strings. He thinks they are beautiful. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Theo, Theo, Theo. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 11oz. and he's almost 21 inches long. He's very sweet. Isaac is very keen on this little brother business. He's in the early stages of figuring it all out. Grandpa Bob drove down the same day as the birth to meet the little guy. He stayed for a few days and then took Sadie home to stay with him at the lake for the summer. Grandpa and the Boys. She got her vest and did a craft. It's a chaotic and fun group. Look for more Daisy updates and perhaps some cookie sales to come. Ramona is also in Brownies, but I wasn't able to make her meeting. They learned about how germs spread using glitter as an example. What a concept! Georgia and her best buddies!
