The Memorial Book was produced as part of the national desire to mark the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War, and to honour those from our village who fell in what was also known at the time—for a while at least—as The War to End All Wars. However it was decided that such a book should honour villagers who gave their lives in.
