Babe in the Woods. Often lost. Often clueless. Occasionally successful. November 11, 2009. Journey to the bow. The pathway to my "new" interest in bow hunting actually began about 4 years ago. I blame my friends Rhonda and Billie. In the spring of 2005 I attended my second BOW (Becoming an Outdoors Woman). Weekend. The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries. Fast forward to 2005. Babe in the Woods: Lessons to be learned
http://woodlandbabe.blogspot.com/2011/06/lessons-to-be-learned.html
Babe in the Woods. Often lost. Often clueless. Occasionally successful. June 18, 2011. Lessons to be learned. Last deer season was an interesting one in so many ways. Looking back I'm amazed, disappointed, overwhelmed. I think it must be like that for most new hunters. I made some huge strides and experienced some incredible failures. Does it ever get easier? I'm thinking it probably doesn't. My husband is fond of reminding me that "It's called hunting. If it was easy it would be called killing". Is abou...

Babe in the Woods. Often lost. Often clueless. Occasionally successful. January 1, 2012. This season has been tough. It seems like fate, life or whatever you want to call it has decided to do everything it can to prevent me from spending time in the woods. I refused to allow the noise of my life overwhelm me...Often...

http://woodlandbabe.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Babe in the Woods. Often lost. Often clueless. Occasionally successful. May 31, 2012. How I Got Here. A few months back I got a negative comments on a post I'd made about finally getting into the woods to hunt. It was my first. I'm still amazed that people find my blog and actually read it! I decided to ignore it and move on. But it's just sat there, like an elephant in the room. How could I provide my body with protein and not be the agent of another creatures death? I came to hunting as the answer.
