The bag limit is two fish for adults and one fish for juniors per visit. All fish taken must be over 10 in length. We do encourage the use of barbless hooks and catch and release so that the water can be fished all day even after your bag limit. If this style of fishing appeals to you, why not contact the secretary and apply for membership? The season is from March 15th to September 30th inclusive. To contact the club telephone:. Eaton Flyfishers (Formerly Buglawton Trout Club) have been fishing the River Dane near Congleton in Cheshire for over a century. The Club has about three miles of superb river fishing in one of the most picturesque parts of Cheshire. The club has 50 members and is run by an enthusiastic committee who are all avid fishermen. Fishing is with fly only and barbless hooks are recommended. All beats are well stocked, generally with fish up to 14, but there are a few 2-2.5 lb fish introduced as well.

The whole river is beautiful and picturesque, with many easy sections but there are several sections where it becomes more challenging. It is a spate river and as a result rises and falls very quickly, so giving more fishing time than most rivers of this type. There are four stretches, with parking, making up the whole. These are Hillmoor Farm, Bank Farm , North Rode Farm and recently Ladderstile Farm. Chris Phillips (Secretary) 01782 505189 eatonflyfishers@gmail.com. Web design by windknotter.
