Half Baked Objects: And now a better photo
http://spritelygoods.blogspot.com/2010/03/and-now-better-photo.html
Tuesday, March 09, 2010. And now a better photo. These are classic leather-wrapped buttons to go along with the classic design of this cardigan. Not sure how everyone else approaches it, but my button jar is rather barren - I tend to finish a project.then I drag it into the knitting store where I can "try on" buttons or finishing accents at will :). Yeah, I am not a button collector, too. I rather knit something and then find buttons to match. And the leather buttons really finish it off in grand style.

Half Baked Objects: More Slippers for the House Elves
http://spritelygoods.blogspot.com/2010/01/more-slippers-for-house-elves.html
Sunday, January 24, 2010. More Slippers for the House Elves. Or rather, for the other House Elf :) These are a pair for my husband since the originals. To ensure a proper fit this time, I knitted the wide version, and knit on the foot a bit longer than recommended to accommodate felting shrinkage. They do have a fair bit of stretch to them when they are wet, so they can certainly be stretched to fit, within reason. Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). It Is What It Is. You do what you can with what youve got. Sign of the Devil? No, just Comic-Con. Jul 29th, 2010 at 9:05 AM. 666, the number of views on my Flickr photos yesterday. Most of the time, my stats are in the 200-300 range, unless something related to what I've photographed hits the news. Even though I didn't go to Comic-Con this year, I still saw a spike in views. Consistently popular are these two photos, one of the tattooed back of an ever-beloved Slave Leia. My Pics on Flickr.

Half Baked Objects: November 2009
http://spritelygoods.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 15, 2009. From the fall 2009 Twist Collective. SuDan Hug-a-sheep handspun 2-ply Border Leicester (from a sheep named Libby on SuDan farm in Oregon). Ravelry fails me - or rather I failed and didn't enter the data. I can't remember if I used US4 or US5 or US6. Regardless, there was math involved. I love it. This was a fast and fairly simple knit - and it was especially interesting because it's seamless. I love learning new techniques, don't you? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
