HANSON DEVOTIONAL: February 2012
http://hansondevotional.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 12, 2012. II Cor. 1:3-7. The word mentioned most frequently in this section of Scripture is “comfort”. How many times do you find it in these verses? We first see that our Heavenly Father is the “God of all comfort”. God loves us dearly and desires that we have eternal peace in our lives. He knows we will go through difficulties and He wants us to trust Him to see us through those times and to rely on Him for comfort. Now that we have completed our study the book of John I thought we mig...

HANSON DEVOTIONAL: Reflections on the Resurrection
http://hansondevotional.blogspot.com/2012/01/reflections-on-resurrection.html
Sunday, January 8, 2012. Reflections on the Resurrection. John’s reaction in verse eight also caught my attention. He had spent much time with Jesus and had been taught many things. Although much may have registered intellectually, there was still a lack of spiritual perception. Notice his own testimony as he said “he saw, and believed”. It appears that all he had been taught came together at that point and he now really understood who Jesus was. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Mark Jones Worship Blog.

HANSON DEVOTIONAL: June 2011
http://hansondevotional.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 26, 2011. Three times in this portion of Scripture (v. 16, 28, 29) Jesus mentions He is sent from God. Last time we looked at His statement that He was living His life according to the Father’s timing. Now we see that He also claims to be taught by the Father. Notice in v. 16 He says “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me.”. Sunday, June 19, 2011. Twice in this passage Jesus comments about God’s timing versus human timing. In both instances He was in a dialogue with His huma...It coul...

HANSON DEVOTIONAL: July 2011
http://hansondevotional.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 31, 2011. As we look at this passage I would like to dwell on two great truths that are extremely critical to our faith. After Jesus tells the parable of the Good Shepherd the Pharisees continue to argue with Him. They wanted Jesus to relate to them on their terms, but He continues to assert His deity. We should be thankful to God for giving us His trustworthy Word and for the ministry of the Holy Spirit to help us understand the Scripture as it applies to our life. Sunday, July 24, 2011.

HANSON DEVOTIONAL: II Corinthians
http://hansondevotional.blogspot.com/2012/02/ii-corinthians.html
Sunday, February 12, 2012. Now that we have completed our study the book of John I thought we might look at the book of II Corinthians. Paul wrote this book to the Corinthian Christians urging them to live for God’s commendation, to stay on guard against Satan and to rejoice at who they were in Christ. To begin our study I’ve first turned to Acts 18:1-17 which reveals that Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. I trust our devotions in this book will be a blessing to you. HANSON DEVOTIONAL: November 2011
http://hansondevotional.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 27, 2011. I pray that you would have a vibrant prayer life. Sunday, November 20, 2011. Finally, the Spirit glorifies the Father and the Son. His purpose in all He does is toward that end. As He discloses God’s will for each of us personally, and leads us in understanding God’s will for our life and directs our daily activities He is doing that to glorify the Father and the Son. I pray that you will recognize and be sensitive to the activity of the Holy Spirit in your life. Finally, He ex...

HANSON DEVOTIONAL: One Final Lesson
http://hansondevotional.blogspot.com/2012/01/john-2118-25-as-we-come-to-end-of-this.html
Sunday, January 29, 2012. As we come to the end of this book the Lord engages Peter and John in one final lesson. He shares with Peter about his aging process and then about his death (v. 8-19) and closes with the statement “Follow Me! 8221; Jesus basically says, that is between Me and him; and reiterated the important thing for you is to “follow Me! How do we follow Christ? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Great Site Around the Web. Mark Jones Worship Blog.

HANSON DEVOTIONAL: The Love Motivation
http://hansondevotional.blogspot.com/2012/01/love-motivation.html
Sunday, January 22, 2012. I think Jesus was impressing Peter with the need for love in service. He deeply wanted Peter to reflect His love to those with whom he came in contact and ministered. Jesus desires that we also minister to others through the motivation of love, not obligation. Yes, it is our responsibility to use our gifts to serve others, but not grudgingly or under compulsion but lovingly. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Sunday, October 30, 2011. The Vine and the Branches. Sunday, October 23, 2011. The Holy Spirit is also an agent of peace in our lives. As Christians, we have a settled assurance that regardless of what transpires in this world, our future is secure in Christ. We know that God’s best for us is going to be accomplished if we remain in His will. We also have the confident knowledge that our eternal life is secure. Sunday, October 16, 2011. Jesus Relationship With God The Father. Jesus now makes a very intri...
