Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me: kidnappers among us?
http://cortezjournal.blogspot.com/2010/06/kidnappers-among-us.html
Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me. Life on the Sea of Cortez. Friday, June 11, 2010. The boys seem smart and are very polite. I don't think they're being abused unless you consider being kept inside a small RV all day with no school and no other kids their age, no socializing, abusive. I get the feeling the parents are hiding out. Why else would they be here? It's not as though they're here to teach their boys about the Mexican way of life or to give them a new experience. You could find out their ...

Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me: September 2010
http://cortezjournal.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me. Life on the Sea of Cortez. Saturday, September 18, 2010. Memoir for sale by owner. My book is finished. Now begins the query agent business. So far I've sent out three queries with three rejections. Hundreds of rejections isn't unusual but I don't have that kind of time. I'm not some 20- or 30-year-old with years ahead of me. I'm not married with a husband to support me. I don't even have a job! Damn, how easy it is to fall back into old patterns. Henriette, make ...

http://cortezjournal.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me. Life on the Sea of Cortez. Monday, October 4, 2010. Why, you ask, did I start another blog. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This blog was started when I moved to a trailer park on the Sea of Cortez. I've kept it anonymous but that will change with my new blog. How i met the jailbird. Henriette, make up your mind. Embrace the yin and yang. The beauty of books. You're in mexico; speak mexican. My letter to prison. Pissing gringas and pooping pelicans. A walk on the beach.

Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me: May 2010
http://cortezjournal.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me. Life on the Sea of Cortez. Saturday, May 1, 2010. I have a really crazy - but very interesting - neighbor lady here on Skid Row. She had a terrible upbringing, very little education, possibly one of those undiagnosed dyslexics. She traveled the world on cargo ships and yachts. Became a truck driver at 60. My neighbor said. "Look at her. She's trying to get him to lick her twat.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Which will focus on RV life versus trailer park life (and...

Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me: January 2010
http://cortezjournal.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me. Life on the Sea of Cortez. Monday, January 25, 2010. Lately I've been wondering what happens when a foreigner dies in a foreign country. Say, for instance, I die in Mexico. I have a little more information now because, sadly, a very nice older gringo died here two nights ago. A thing you would think we would all know is the Mexican equivalent of 9-1-1. Not so! Will that last paragraph work as a will? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Which will focus on RV life versus t...

Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me: redemption through pain
http://cortezjournal.blogspot.com/2010/08/redemption-through-pain.html
Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me. Life on the Sea of Cortez. Monday, August 30, 2010. There is a gringo in the Mexican village I live in who is dying of bone cancer. His screams can be heard all around the neighborhood. He begs his wife and friends to kill him but they won't. I understand that there's no hospice there but why doesn't his family take him to the hospital in the big city to get end-of-life care? Why don't they go back to the U.S? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The beauty of books.

Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me: lean on pete
http://cortezjournal.blogspot.com/2010/06/lean-on-pete.html
Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me. Life on the Sea of Cortez. Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Damn you, Willy, for making a grown woman cry. I mean, really, I'm used to your gritty down-on-your luck stories and songs. But you've never made me cry. There I was, reading this book as I watched pelicans dive for fish and I've got tears running down my cheeks. I hoped no one would see me. Especially a Mexican or a Seri Indian because I'd have a hard time explaining those tears in Mexican. A friend of mine knows...

Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me: news from cortez
http://cortezjournal.blogspot.com/2010/07/news-from-cortez.html
Thursdays and eggs sound the same to me. Life on the Sea of Cortez. Saturday, July 24, 2010. I’m in New Mexico, having left Old Mexico the beginning of July to housesit for a friend in way-southern Arizona and to experience the things I miss most about Estados Unidos: extra sharp cheddar cheese, Italian food, coffee houses and saloons. The latter being the most important if I’m to be honest. First off peter, dick or willie. What a lot of stuff has been happening! So hey, are you in AZ or NM? Youll never ...
