tilki-tilki: A walk in the sun
http://tilki-tilki.blogspot.com/2008/12/walk-in-sun.html
Friday, December 19, 2008. A walk in the sun. It is all I need. Let me tell you. I want to tell about darkness, and only darkness. It is SO dominating nowadays, that you cannot forget about it, you cannot ignore it. People are asking me, "so how's Finnish winter? It was such a rare sight that I couldn't help making pictures of it! P It felt so sad to see it melt and disappear so fast over the islands offshore, like an ice cream ball dropped in a cup of coffee. "See you next week, perhaps! The point is no...

tilki-tilki: October 2009
http://tilki-tilki.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 11, 2009. Although I was perfectly clear on the title of this post, I barely had an idea on how to start putting it down. Perhaps the simplest way is the easiest one then: It is time to move again. Moving, desired or forced, has always brought about loaded emotions and countless thoughts, more than the actual stuff that needs to be carried along, and this is no different. I consider myself an intermediate-level nomad by now, still I stumble trying to keep straight before the unrest. But l...

Sunday, June 28, 2009. This has been the longest break I allowed myself, despite not happily, from the blog. I don't even want to articulate explicitly how long it has been. Now with all the long-time slippery ground under my feet, I feel like starting again. I think I will be able to continue telling interesting little stories - the eyes still see, the skin still feels, the brain still (sort of! Therefore, stay tuned. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Monday, August 25, 2008. Where the rails ended. I believe it is not possible for one to go to Auschwitz without, let's say, an emotional preparation. The most common thing you'd hear when you share your interest in visiting this "Death camp" is that "oh, it must be very depressing! AND kept secret from the rest of the world for 5 years. Or the sheer size of the camp Birkenau is enough to leave you with an open mouth. Tuesday, August 19, 2008. 2nd getaway from Helsinki: Poland. Drafted long time ago.

Monday, July 28, 2008. 5 Reasons why Mums (a.k.a. "Mothers") are fascinating creatures. 1 Wherever you are on the world, as soon as you change location, she opens a world atlas and checks what your latitude-longitute is, which ones the neighboring countries are and how the climate is there. After her own city, she always checks the weather forecast for the city you live in, and she knows it's showering before you tell her it is so. 4 Even though it has been years since you separated your books of account...

tilki-tilki: Happy birthday, Jesus...

Wednesday, December 24, 2008. Happy birthday, Jesus. Happy Xmas (War is over) - John Lennon. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A blog that started out somewhat as a travelogue (in Turkish) when I first moved to India, then turned into a general scrapbook as I moved on and faded out as Facebook overtook all my publishing needs, until I decided I am ready to write again, come year 2012. So the world better not end yet, because you see, I may have things to say. View my complete profile. Eskici / Once said.
