The hussar's were the famed "winged horsemen". This card of Krakow's market square is the largest medieval public square in Europe, dating back to the 1200s. In this photo you can see three of the major monuments of the square. In the right hand side is the Town Hall Tower. The only part of the town hall remaining after the rest was demolished under Partition in 1820.
