Susan draws a short passenger train across the cattle creep. Built to a tight timetable. A small 009 essay in just 48" x 19". The cattle dock is scatch-built from plastic from plans in the Stephen Wiliams GWR Branch Lines book. The water crane is Ratio and the grounded van body is a scratch-built Iron Mink. Wood End and Beyond. The Early Years 78-93. Wood End - The Original. Froxington - The Flop. Morton Stanley 0-16.5. Is a small 4mm scale 009 layout built purely to illustrate a book project. The brief was to build a layout from the ground up using simple kits and then scratch-built items for all buildings and rolling stock. The choice of design was aimed at what a novice could build within a reasonable amount of time with a small toolkit and limited space. The track layout from John Ahern's Gammon End.

I was fortunate to obtain some “as new” PECO 9 inch radius electrofrog points. Since I wanted to add a Bay platform road to the station, I used two of these to make the new line, with kick-back. The loco is an Airfix pug kit on a Tenshodo spud built by Mr Hill. He hates this photo. Nigel Hill's station building from card and plastic sheet based on the buildings on the line to Selsey.
