On Peregrine Patrol at the Burlington Lift Bridge. Tuesday, 24 June 2014. Tuesday, June 23, 2014. A Peregrine Falcon Growth Chart. As some of you who have been following my Blog are new to Peregrine Falcons, I thought you might find it interesting to see the growth chart of a baby Peregrine. As we watch these amazing creatures from day one to fledge, it is no wonder that we care so much. Susan L. McCreadie. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Susan L. McCreadie. On Peregrine Patrol at the Burlington Lift Bridge. Sunday, 16 February 2014. Sunday, February 16, 2014. 7C / 19F and -8C / 17 F with the wind chill. 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Some sun, some cloud and light snow falling. I decided to stay home today as I was anxious to see how our athletes were going to make out at the Olympics. When Bill arrived at the Lift Bridge around 2:00 pm, he found Cirrus on the cable between the Bridge Towers and Mackenzie was not in sight. Cirrus Guards Her Territory. Sun and Cloud Mix.

On Peregrine Patrol at the Burlington Lift Bridge. Saturday, 22 March 2014. Friday, March 21, 2014 - Incubation Underway! 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Although it was only -3C, it sure felt a lot colder. There was a cold wind from the Bay. As it was the first full day of spring, we didn’t expect to see the canal full of ice once again. When we arrived, we could only spot Mackenzie who was hunting from the very top of the Hamilton Hydro Tower. Mackenzie had some very harsh words for the Juvenile. Cirrus was out of...

On Peregrine Patrol at the Burlington Lift Bridge. Saturday, 25 January 2014. Thursday, January 23, 2014. 16 C / 3.2 F Wind Chill. Cirrus and Mackenzie (band not verified). Well, it would appear that spring preparations are underway. Cirrus and Mackenzie were both spending time in and on the next box and there was lots of chirping going on. It was definitely cold and perhaps they were trying to get out of the weather, but I’m saying that they are preparing for spring. Susan L. McCreadie. Sunday, 12 Janua...

On Peregrine Patrol at the Burlington Lift Bridge. Saturday, 31 May 2014. Saturday, May 31, 2014. Sunny and clear blue skies. 9:00 am – 12:30 pm. What a beautiful morning for falcon watching. When we arrived at the Lift Bridge, both adults were hanging out in the Hamilton Hydro Tower. The little ones were in the back of the box, probably trying to get out of the sun. I imagine the box in very hot until the afternoon, when they get some shade. Mackenzie continued to work the bridge. Chagrin of the adults.
