Gallery entrance: just browsing. How do you come to that conclusion? I’m not starting this: You are. When it began, it was you that started it. Things were running smoothly and then you did that. I don’t care whether you meant to or not. You did it and now it’s happened. It began with an anti-edit: The do-nothing monkey Shizaru rests his hands in his lap and remains still. Did you? How little is enough? MORE THAN THE SUM OF ITS PARTS:. Why would I try to add to something that is already there?

Tuesday, 5 May 2009. Laminar at the Lighthouse, Poole. My work investigates alternative aspects of perception and aims to promote understanding of the different perspectives people have on life. My videos, and the paintings which ultimately follow, consist of multiple layers and reveal my obsession with the ebb and flow of colour. This subtly unsettling silent video allows the viewer into a different, confused reality which only occasionally begins to come into focus. Trish Jubb Visual Artist.

The knowledge that we are only a hand's slip or a clumsy jolt away from the instantaneous fragmentation of the object. The fascinating thing about ceramic destruction is that nothing is revealed until the fragments are painstakingly reassembled when the forces gradually become clear. It is like a strange reverse slow-motion. Crushed by a BMW. The different forces are "drawn" onto the plate in a network of cracks and flakes forming a naturally occuring, illustration of the event.
