Writing of late… | Rocket Poetry

Rocket Poetry a tall tale you've seen a thousand times on your street corners and in your big fields. Writing of late…. July 12, 2010. It’s been interview central in May and June. It’s really all I have the capacity to do. My one love is journalism, but unfortunately I find myself locked into a world of administrative duties, fund raising and running operations at Street Roots. What I would give to just write? Does anyone want to take over for me for awhile at Street Roots? I like the second one the best...

But Sally, no, why? Nick's Mood i...

Rocket Poetry a tall tale you've seen a thousand times on your street corners and in your big fields. Writing and the like the last couple of weeks…. May 7, 2010. I got to write a piece on one of my all-time favorite songwriters Casey Neill. I spent several hours with Casey over the course of a couple of weeks, and had the opportunity to interview the great New York Times columnist Dan Barry for the story. It’s long, but oh so sweet. Check it. You might think about giving too. From → Uncategorized. Creat...

PDX, SR and the Matt Davis story… | Rocket Poetry

Rocket Poetry a tall tale you've seen a thousand times on your street corners and in your big fields. PDX, SR and the Matt Davis story…. May 7, 2010. Matt Davis is an odd and unforgiving creature, and one of the hardest working newsmen in the Pacific Northwest. I have written on Matt before. I believe I compared him to Hunter S. Thompson once minus the LSD, and still believe that to be true. You never really knew. His stories over the past couple of years have spanned far and wide into Portland politics,...
