A Habit of Reading. Friday, October 31, 2008. Poetry Friday - Lucy Maud Montgomery (1874-1942). For those of you who will be out with children trick-or-treating tonight, here are some nice images from the beloved author of Anne of Green Gables. Dark hills against a hollow crocus sky. Scarfed with its crimson pennons, and below. The dome of sunset long, hushed valleys lie. Cradling the twilight, where the lone winds blow. And wake among the harps of leafless trees. Fantastic runes and mournful melodies.

Saturday, October 25, 2008. Fall I - The Pond. And the point of this blog is? Well, I'd like to get better at photography. And by that I mean nature photography, though I suppose I would like to take better family shots, too (though those would probably be best suited to my family and homeschooling blog, Rockhound Place.
