The Distant Yowie: May 2010
http://distantyowie.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, 24 May 2010. So, there's this gloriously wrongly named publication Nazi Knife. I've only ever looked at it on the web and fantasisd about the day when I would have so few bills as to be able to order some issues - maybe you could do it in the meantime. Anyway, the publication recently mounted an exhibtion in Rome. Anyone ever want to buy me a copy of N-Knife, feel free. I'll trade art with you. Links to this post. Thursday, 20 May 2010. The studio was a bequest by the late artist to the Tasmanian School of Art (now Tasmanian College of the Arts) to allow former students to undertake residencies in the oh-so-cultural city. http://distantyowie.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, 19 September 2009. I also look at art blogs. And these are some I dig:. Really, go read his story "Forming" right now. Ancient god-aliens battling for the earth at the dawn of time. I think. It's a beauty. Then there's Personal Devices. Which is a little hard to describe. I jut moved house so there'll be a moment before more pictures and stuff go up but I'm enjoying this. And I have a studio now, so I have to play with that as well. I'm also broke, original artworks for sale. Links to this post.

On the Recent Changes to Australian Arts Funding. I did attend one party at the biennale by the way. I wasn’t invited, but the champagne was flowing and the art was terrible. I guess I was a welcome rent-a-crowd. The Sheikh had evidently paid a large amount to stage the exhibition (it costs $30,000 just to register. As a collateral event), but as the...
