View all customer feedback. Caring for Your Art. Light and heat are the most obvious causes of deterioration. The more light to which a painting or drawing is exposed the greater the adverse effect. The ultra-violet rays produced by strong sunlight speed up the process of deterioration so it is therefore advisable to hang paintings in a place shaded from direct sunlight. The natural beauty of the surrounding landscape and its proximity to the sea has an influence on her work but as Ray says This is not entirely so as my inspiration comes from many sources - music, poetry, and people - my travels in the Caribbean - my cats and my love of the patterns found both in natural forms and man-made objects.

I do not make a charge for these frames but will sometimes despatch paintings in them to lessen the probability of damage occuring in transit.
