V12 Stealth Hunter: Spark Plugs
http://v12stealthhunter.blogspot.com/2014/05/spark-plugs.html
Documenting the restoration of a 1974 Jaguar XJ12L and other miscellaneous items of interest. Sunday, May 18, 2014. I can't even believe that tomorrow will be exactly 1 year since my last post. So much has happened since I last posted I don't even feel like writing it all down. In summary, I ended up quitting my job and moving to California. I sold the 1974 XJ12L for what I paid for it some 6 years ago but I was glad to see it go to a fellow OJC member. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

V12 Stealth Hunter: May 2012
http://v12stealthhunter.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Documenting the restoration of a 1974 Jaguar XJ12L and other miscellaneous items of interest. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Drive to Hudson British Car Show. I came back sun burnt, tired and smelling of Jag. But we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves that day. This is how it all began. We were leaving at 9am, so I set the alarm for 7am. But of course, I woke up at 8am! Stopped at the petrol station on Woodrofe, filled up both tanks and hit the 417 East towards our rendezvous in Orleans. The co-ordinator had a ve...

V12 Stealth Hunter: Fuel issues
http://v12stealthhunter.blogspot.com/2014/11/fuel-issues.html
Documenting the restoration of a 1974 Jaguar XJ12L and other miscellaneous items of interest. Monday, November 3, 2014. I'll eventually figure out what the fuel issue is but I'm a little concerned about the little capacitor like thing that was just stuffed in the foam. It looks like its meant to be grounded onto something. Its possible that the capacitor may have dried out. I havent opened any up yet, and some dielectrics get old with age. V12 Stealth Hunter: June 2012
http://v12stealthhunter.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Documenting the restoration of a 1974 Jaguar XJ12L and other miscellaneous items of interest. Sunday, June 17, 2012. Several road trips ago. If you remember, I had to cut the belt that ran the A/C pulley. This basically disables both the A/C and the smog pump on my XJ12. In an effort to clear up the engine bay I had the A/C compressor removed. Inspired by the sudden free space, I decided to remove the A/C hoses and air rails. V12 Stealth Hunter: September 2010
http://v12stealthhunter.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Documenting the restoration of a 1974 Jaguar XJ12L and other miscellaneous items of interest. Thursday, September 30, 2010. Not much to write any more these days. Reached a point in the restoration where the remaining work is quite expensive and cannot really be done at home (well most of it at least). Machine cylinder heads (valve job, adjustment, guides etc.). Needs new exhaust. I'm most likely going to get a Stebro stainless system when I can afford it. Redye the biscuit interior. Speaking of which, I...

V12 Stealth Hunter: July 2012
http://v12stealthhunter.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Documenting the restoration of a 1974 Jaguar XJ12L and other miscellaneous items of interest. Monday, July 16, 2012. Replaced oil cooler lines. This year I've been going through the various leaks on the Jag and trying to make the car a little easier to live with. I've already repaired the coolant expansion bottle by having a local fellow retrofit the lower outlet fitting from my Series 2 bottle onto a nicer Series 3 bottle. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
