The renovation of our 1920 Craftsman Bungalow in Sanford, Maine. Tuesday, March 10, 2009. I know Christmas is over. I wanted to post a nice picture of the Christmas tree we got from River Side Farms, in North Berwick, Maine. This is in our dining room. I am trying to find and organize all our our pictures of the house and the projects we have completed over the last two years. Lots more to come. Cheers. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We have NEW Closets! This is the kitchen almost finished!

From The Burbs: House & Home: Now what?!
http://melindabrookshire.blogspot.com/2008/10/now-what.html
Monday, October 27, 2008. We began taking down the add-on overhang that was to serve as a covered patio for previous owners. It was unattractive, leaking, and ultimately falling down anyway. I really thought this would be a fairly simple project (why? I don't know.nothing about this house has been "simple" yet). Excuse the photo. This was taken pre-roof, pre-central heat and air, pre-move-in. So, in keeping with true "money pit" form, the removal project has exposed more PO remuddling boo-boos. Anonymous...

It’s Easy Being Green (Stucco). July 7, 2014. The bungalow’s stucco has been repaired and painted. It is no longer white, but Lizard Green. Also, the side porch’s black dots (formerly glue onto which wood paneling was affixed) were chipped away and smoothed out before the paint was applied. Finally, all cracks in the stucco were caulked. Simply sage vs. Lizard green. Black dots = glue from previous paneling on the walls. Black dots now chipped away, ready for paint. Cracks in the stucco, now caulked.

Springtime, Finally - Bungalow RebootBungalow Reboot
http://bungalowreboot.com/backyard/spring-time-finally
April 19, 2014. After five months of winter, we are VERY glad to have some spring-like weather. Honestly, at this point, we are glad to have temperatures above 20 degrees. Today’s high was about 65, so we spent much of it outside. Even the backyard monk is welcoming spring! In case you missed it, the monk also dressed up for Halloween. A Brief History - Bungalow RebootBungalow Reboot
http://bungalowreboot.com/history/history-bungalow
April 21, 2013. Over the past seven months, we’ve looked at dozens of turn-of-the-century (that’s early. Houses of all sizes and styles. For example, we’ve visited homes in the architectural style of Victorian, Cape Cod, farmhouse, Georgian, ranch, split-level ranch, raised bungalow, and bungalow. And shaped like an overturned ship (curved roof that extended nearly all the way to the ground), the bungalow derives from Bengali, India. Or a wraparound porch, hipped roofs. The American bungalow’s simp...
