Sarah G's Blog: Writing Reflection
http://16sgordis.blogspot.com/2015/11/writing-reflection.html
Tuesday, November 10, 2015. I've learned a lot from reading other student's blog posts. One thing I've learned is that sometimes you can't use an advanced vocabulary word in the way you would use a synonym of that word. Judgment should be made based on context. My goals for writing essays:. Have a clear and obvious claim. Elaborate well and explain evidence. Take time to reread and check my spelling and grammar. My goals for creative writing:. To more clearly tell a story. MS 51 Student Blog Template.

Sarah G's Blog: MoMA
http://16sgordis.blogspot.com/2015/10/moma.html
Thursday, October 22, 2015. The sculpture "Apple" by Picasso was a small, cubic "apple". To me, it looked like a rose. A rose is something that is often considered perfect, so a rose being make of harsh, jagged edges was an interesting spin, because squares are also considered "perfect", but in a very different way. This piece definitely made me think and appreciate art. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Robert Frost Collection, Robert Frost, October 1, 2015. MS 51 Student Blog Template.

Sarah G's Blog: February 2016
http://16sgordis.blogspot.com/2016_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 26, 2016. What did the world used to look like? Was it always blue skies and lush greens? Was it cozy and warm through harsh winters? A cynical poem, yes, but an even more cynical message is conveyed through it- all people are doing is wreaking havoc on our poor, defenseless earth. I wouldn’t call it defenseless, though. It is the place we know, where else are we to wreak havoc, the moon? Quite so, what choice do we have? And that aura of enlightenment we all seem to exude? A world witho...

Joshua R's Blog: MoMA
http://16jrivera.blogspot.com/2015/11/moma.html
Wednesday, November 11, 2015. At the MoMA we went to nany different art pieces, including sculptures. One of the pieces I thought they had some of the most creative pieces. They had an American flag made out of newspapers from the early 1900's and sculptures out of car doors. And I now see that so many things can be art and how creative some artist could really be. This was my trip to MoMA. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Books finished From September to June. The Maze Runner By Josh Dasner.

Thursday, February 25, 2016. Creative Writing Assignment By Joshua Rivera. A boy from Africa speaks of a leader in his town. I think of a person with effigies. Every where and that mans a leader,. There's an ideology from everybody in our small city this mans a winner,. And how he's that much of respect for that man there can be some sensibility,. With all these features no one condemns him,. But people will see how he's the aura of this city. People who thinks he's bad are erroneous,. College athletes s...

Sarah G's Blog: Poem
http://16sgordis.blogspot.com/2016/01/poem.html
Friday, January 8, 2016. I have met the most special person in the world exactly twice,. She wore five and a half pairs of rosy red cheeks,. And a smile as wide as Niagara. She twisted arms and played foul,. Because no one would join her club. She scowled up at the sky,. Palm trees swaying against her,. Towering gargoyles picking a fight. No one would join the club, she'd sigh. I am a sacrifice to the blessing of resurrection, she dreamed wearily. She wore a tattoo of unidentifiable beauty,. And her olde...
