Teton Sioux Natives- September 1804. Well, Lewis and I were walking up the hill in the field when we where attacked by the Teton Sioux. That night we set up camp near the Teton's homes. They lived in tents that were made out of buffalo hides. Also known as tipis. The homes were about 10 ft. high. They were pretty tall. Then a couple hours later, came the Teton natives trying to rade our camp. They were not friendly at all beacause they tried to kill us and rob us broke. Create a free website.

Today Lewis and I were wondering threw the bushy part of the forest when I saw smoke. I ran over and saw a bunch of natives eatig some beans, corn, squash, and buffalo. They were very chatty. Lewis and I could not understand what the native americans were saying. The Mandan's are very good at growing crops. They taught us how to grow corn and squash. Create a free website.

When Lewis and I were walking beside the river abnk when we hear talking. We saw the Blackfoot Native Americans. They were just finishing what looked like dinner. They ate deer and buffalo meat. They also had vegetables and cereals. After dinner they went to their homes. They lived in villages made out of tipis. The blackfoot natives were not friendly because they would attack then run away. So they did not teach us anything because they were very rude and ran away. Such as drive off.
