The 1989 Dodge Daytona Shelby Diary: July 2014
http://1989dodgedaytonashelby.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2014. I've got the day off so I run by my mechanic's to see if there's any update or progress on the Daytona. I see the Daytona has moved from the work area to the AC charging area. This gives me hope. The hood is up at the charging station and there is a mechanic working on it. I ask my mechanic what the repair bill is so far . I'm thinking about $500 or so dollars. We're up to about $800 to $900 so far. I look over at the Daytona. Christopher T. Shields. The 1989 Dodge Daytona Shelby Diary: Super Happy Fun Time! Geyser of Death!!!!
http://1989dodgedaytonashelby.blogspot.com/2014/10/super-happy-fun-time-geyser-of-death.html
Friday, October 24, 2014. Super Happy Fun Time! The '89 Daytona Shelby in the parking lot of my wife's school. I love this car. So much fun to drive, so much aggravation (sometimes). Every day you learn something new about it like how to set, arm and disarm the factory alarm (see previous entry. Every day, something new is learned like take for instance the fact that little did I know that right after I shut the Daytona off the Underwear Gnomes from " South Park. Phase One: Cut fuel line.". The '86 TA is...

The 1989 Dodge Daytona Shelby Diary: September 2014
http://1989dodgedaytonashelby.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Replaced the fuse . I had to work the ER that night and the Daytona gave me no problems. In fact, it's running great. I say that sarcastically so that nothing bad will happen. That night at the ER my nurse practitioner stopped me and asked me about my car. That red car you were driving the other night . is that a Laser? That's the other one I remember! What year is your Daytona? It's a 1989 Daytona Shelby.". Her eyes lit up. The 1989 Dodge Daytona Shelby Diary: August 2014
http://1989dodgedaytonashelby.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 18, 2014. Back in the shop . I left work a little early to get the Daytona back in the shop to fix the oil leak. I'm thinking it might be a valve cover gasket as oil is tending to pool in the indentions of the transmission bell housing and then running down various hoses and brackets to make interesting patterns on my garage floor. And speaking of bonus. Christopher T. Shields. Saturday, August 16, 2014. Sigh Still leaking. I'm driving the Daytona to work every day. She's dripping ...Side ...

The 1989 Dodge Daytona Shelby Diary: November 2014
http://1989dodgedaytonashelby.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 19, 2014. It wasn't meant to end this way . Someone in a Chevy Colorado pickup had hit me from behind at full speed while I was stopped at the redlight at the intersection at the Sam's Club on Highway 98. I'll miss the Daytona. CT scans are good and neuro and trauma are going to sign off on me soon so other than being really sore for a few months I'll be okay. God is great and powerful! Be careful out there. From the rear bumper forward the only part of the Daytona that was not crushe...

The 1989 Dodge Daytona Shelby Diary: A strange compliment and ... stranded again.
http://1989dodgedaytonashelby.blogspot.com/2014/10/a-strange-compliment-and-stranded-again.html
Monday, October 20, 2014. A strange compliment and . stranded again. I took a short lunch at Floyd's Grill in Hattiesburg (over on 4th street, I recommend it) and when I was leaving a sandy haired kid in a PT Cruiser pulled in right behind the Daytona, blocking me from backing out. I was just opening the door to the Daytona to get in when the kid rolled down the passenger side window of the PT Cruiser and shouted " Hey, man! You're driving something you don't see every day! Strange but . okay. Somehow, I...
