Wander and Wayfare, is a new mural festival and exhibition co-curated by street artist Allison Hueman Torneros and gallerist Daniele Rocha. By bringing together some of the most talented and prolific female street artists working in the world today, Wander and Wayfare will be an annual exhibition and mural festival that plans to brighten the future of the San Francisco art scene. Her most recent solo project, Ritual (July 2013), involved spending 9 days in a 6,000 square foot warehouse creating a large floor-to-ceiling immersive mural installation, completely off the top of her head. Hueman begins her artistic process by freestyling with paint splatters and rhythmic strokes, then stepping back and letting the images emerge from the chaos. 8220;Not For Sale” a Closing Reception. ELLE – Image by Tiff Pemberton. Most recently ELLE has been focusing on ad-takeovers with keys she received from the Public Ad Campaign, hand cutting colored mylar to create collages of images that she then illegally inserts into bus shelters in place of advertisements. In 2015 ELLE will head to San Francisco to paint with OneBrush Initiative and exhibit with Rocha Gallery, followed by a summer painting tour through Europe. 8220;Not For Sale” a Closing Reception. The outside of Rocha Art is wrapped in a dozen murals that continually rotate every few months. The mural gallery is comprised of seven 12ft x 16ft panels visible from the busy 4th and Brannan corridor. Other murals wrap the roof of Rocha Art, and extend onto our neighbors buildings on Freelon St. Artists include Cannon Dill, Mike Shine, Ian Ross. RISK, Max Ehrman. Ricky Watts, Eddie Colla. Griffin One, Crypti. INSA, and many more. All murals are courtesy of the 1 Bush Initiative.
