Is there anything new to say about living with Type 1 diabetes? Maybe not, but I'll try anyway. By Jacquie Paul Wojcik. I’m going to go ahead and bet that no one even remembers this, but about 300 years ago, I was blogging about running. I actually even ran about 12 or 13 times. Running sucked, of course. But I loved it, of course. Please look at all the cat hair on my poor neglected arm band thing. There are a number of things that have kept me from starting right back up again. It’s easy to p...If I...

Is there anything new to say about living with Type 1 diabetes? Maybe not, but I'll try anyway. Wiping is Fun Again. I’ve always been a wiper. Pants, napkins, the dark material of my glucose meter case. Never anything normal like an actual alcohol swab. And I’ve never been a licker, although I have many friends who are. I don’t judge them for their bloodthirsty ways, and I hope they don’t begrudge me my slovenly habits. When I stopped to check my blood sugar. Arrived in my mailbox. I’ve had one sta...

The Ups, Downs, and all Arounds……How I conquer Type 1 Diabetes with 4 kids and a busy lifestyle. About Sweet Lovinn’. 8220;Life Without Sugar”….in the eye’s of my daughter when she was 14. Sometimes I’ve often wondered if my kids really understand me and my disease. I have always done my best to be positive and make it so that they don’t have to worry about me. With all the pressures and peer influences they each deal with, worrying about me is the last thing I want for them to think about. March 27, 2014.

I had packed enough for a 2 week stay, I swear! Anyone else do that? I mean, I know that for Diabetics there is alway "extra" stuff, but boy sometimes I think I over do it! Woke up 2 hrs later, feeling refreshed. I didn't stay in the water l...

Morning. i crack my eyes open a bit and search around for the sound coming from somewhere under my pillow or perhaps under the blankets. it's my alarm clock (actually it's my old flip phone which has a wickedly loud alarm setting on it! I've disable the snooze so i must get up when it goes off. no slapping the button and grabbing another 5/10/15 minutes. Hmmmmperhaps that is why they weren't really working for me?
