The Invisible Architecture: The Value of Education
http://theinvisiblearchitecture.blogspot.com/2011/03/value-of-education.html
Thursday, March 31, 2011. The Value of Education. I spent all of my savings to send my 4 children to school this year. Education is an investment for the future, it is something my children will always have and no one can take away. I was not educated, but my children can be. I am so proud of this.”. Weeks, maybe months later, you will begin to see that most of the kids going to school are 3,5, 7 years old. There are less teenagers, and very few children who are practically adults. Only. The Invisible Architecture: November 2010
http://theinvisiblearchitecture.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 28, 2010. A day of waiting. I am waiting to hear about an internship opportunity that would bring me much closer to the street-life and people of Haiti. It is easy to become isolated in the republic of NGOs, in the mansion on the hill. Should learn this week! I will also be finishing up my graduate applications this week so I will be able to devote my energy to the present. Links to this post. Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Links to this post. The Invisible Architecture: Laughing at Monsters
http://theinvisiblearchitecture.blogspot.com/2011/03/laughing-at-monsters.html
Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Boys sing at the beach. I do struggle with not being a citizen of the community in which I live, of forever being a tourist even though I have no other home waiting for me. I am 15 weeks into my 37 week stay. I want to belong. When do I earn it? Perhaps it is when one has neither a vague or distinct plan to leave. This inner conversation probably means I am not ultimately cut out to be a professional aid worker, traveling from place to place, always moving on. Chemen Lavi Miyo Blog.

Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Port-au-Prince, I love you. Life in Haiti was both monotonous and dramatic, full of the contrast that makes for great art.
