Tales of an American woman living life north of the border. Friday, October 31, 2008. Here is another poem (that makes two in a row! This one has an accompanying video and was written by someone considerably more well-known (and more skilled) than me. Happy Halloween! A Noiseless Patient Spider. A noiseless patient spider,. I mark'd where on a little promontory it stood isolated,. Mark'd how to explore the vacant vast surrounding,. It launch'd forth filament, filament, filament out of itself,. When we re...

Tales of an American woman living life north of the border. Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Fête des travailleurs: a photo essay. May 1st, around the world is International Workers' Day. Bo very much wanted to march in the annual parade with the baby and I went along too. This was my first ever political demonstration, but I admit that I enjoyed people-watching the most! I loved that my zoom lens allowed me to take a lot of close-ups unbeknownst to my subjects). Enjoy the colors of the revolution! Life in the city.

Tales of an American woman living life north of the border. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. As I wrote a few weeks ago, I recently became a permanent resident of Quebec. When I first moved, I opened a bank account at HSBC in Plattsburgh, NY. Since I hadn't sold my house yet and still had related expenses, I wanted to keep an Am...
