Sew Filled to the Brim. Saturday, April 19, 2014. Back to it again. I had a refreshing Spring Break last week with my family! Me and my younger brother. Me and my younger (yes, go figure) sister. My daughter and son, pictured on the right (pink and blue). My nieces to the left, minus their baby sister. So now I am back and ready to spring into action! I got my Palmer/Pletsch Fit for Real People. And Pants for Real People. Moving forward, I have decided to only work on my sloper for a few days out of the ...

Sew Filled to the Brim: June 2014
http://sewfilled.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Sew Filled to the Brim. Friday, June 20, 2014. Burdastyle June/July issue faves. I am happy to say I have moved past my sewing funk. It seems that getting into my sewing room, cleaning everything up, re-organizing past/future projects, and seeing what other inspiring bloggers have created, has helped me tremendously to move forward! This V-neck dress is a simple silhouette with a twist- at the side seams. I love the concept, and think it will either be terrible or fabulous! This dress is simply gorgeous!

http://mousseline-patterns.com/2016/11/09/the-katie-purse-view-b-tutorial
The Katie Purse – View B Tutorial. This is View B of The Katie Purse pattern made up in silk charmeuse. Its so fun to find old scraps in my stash to make this bag, since it doesn’t take much fabric! I really love the way this one turned out, for some reason I find it has a 90s feel to it, maybe its the colour? Once you’ve finished cutting, you should have three sets like this. One set of stiffener pieces, one set of taffeta lining, and one set of silk SELF. Now pin the Back and Front Flap lining to the c...

My New Venture & a Pretty Summer Dress. Welcome to my new blog! You may have followed me here from my previous blog That Crazy Stitch. This is my new official website. I am starting a new venture as an independent sewing pattern designer! I made this dress little while ago and I’ve been saving it for my very first post on the new website. This is a Kathryn Brenne Original Vogue pattern 9168. I guess since all the kinks were ironed out before it went to print, it was just smooth sailing the whole way!

A Bunch of Little Things – Mousseline Patterns
http://mousseline-patterns.com/2016/12/31/a-bunch-of-little-things
A Bunch of Little Things. I haven’t posted in a while because I haven’t really finished any big projects lately. I’ve been trying to learn some new pattern drafting software so I have been back and forth between home and Toronto for training. It’s been so exciting but also not left me with much time to sew. So I thought I would share some photos of what I’ve been working away at. I have also been slowly working away at this sweater I’m knitting. I never pick a knitting project based on my skill...I just ...

Mother-of-the-Bride Dress, Vogue 8766. Mother-of-the-Bride Dress, Vogue 8766. Mother-of-the-Bride Dress, Vogue 8766. If only it was this easy. I’m not sure why I panicked so about making a dress to wear to Katie’s wedding! Whether it was having too much to do, searching for the right pattern and fabric or doubting my competence, I was on edge about the project. We can’t get much happier than this! What can I say? Sometimes it takes a village to make a dress. In June, I met the talented Cheryl Lemmons, a ...

B4 the Door Closet. Look Ma, No Pattern! I've made some head way with the black and cream print! Surprisingly,I'm draping and it's going pretty well, considering I have absolutely no training in doing so! The shape is quite straight forward with a hint of detail, nothing to complicated. So at some point tomorrow I'll show you my progress, finished or not. Thanks for stopping by! Posted using BlogPress from my iPad. August 16, 2010 at 6:09 PM. Ohhh, draping, thats so advanced (girlishly giggling)! No text...
