petals and thistles: Wow!
http://petalsandthistles.blogspot.com/2011/10/wow.html
Ramblings along the road of life. Saturday, October 1. That's the word that comes to mind when you go outside right now. Wow! Last night was a perfect evening for a walk at Lake Bemidji State Park. Those lights across the lake in the photo below are the football stadium where the Bemidji Lumberjacks were playing their Homecoming game- they won! We thought about going to the game but I'm glad we went for a walk instead! October 1, 2011 at 1:37 PM. Your photos are stunning! October 6, 2011 at 5:13 PM.

petals and thistles: August 2011
http://petalsandthistles.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Ramblings along the road of life. Monday, August 22. I think that is what our kids are yelling lately, at least to themselves. But for me it's more like SAAAAAAAADNEEEEEEESS! Letting go of your kids is one of those thistles in life that ya gotta do but gosh it is painful, mixed in with exciting, and a roller coaster of emotions for this momma. Last week Leanne passed her driver's test. Here she is- one happy girl! I made sure he had a photo of us so he doesn't forget his family :). Nevermind that he's on...

http://petalsandthistles.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Ramblings along the road of life. Saturday, April 17. Well, I did it. I put away my turtlenecks. I know. I know what you are thinking.it's a bit early isn't it? After all, it's only April 17th. Well, what can I say, I am a risk-taker! I still have all my scarves out, however, just in case my neck complains too much. So here's the extent of my "spring cleaning" so far. It feels good, doesn't it? And here's the bags of clothes that are going somewhere else to take up space.yah hoo! Links to this post.

Changed by Love...: June 2014
http://springlelakane.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. Friday, 13 June 2014. Friday and my lack of control of life. Wow, I have a moment to blog. I better type fast because this may be short-lived (hopefully). At the moment I'm sitting at my desk at camp, twiddling my thumbs, overtaken by anxiety because I have SO much to do, but alas my hands are tied. Why? But, if we're looking on the bright side, I have a moment to blog. I understand I can't partake.

Changed by Love...: August 2013

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. Saturday, 24 August 2013. What God taught me at Menards. We were inside for 5-10 minutes more, then went to the truck to start hauling stuff into Menards. When we got to the trailer, a huge roll of insulation was gone! It had been there when we arrived, so we knew someone had stolen it. But in broad daylight? Not far from the entry to Menards? With 2 Menards employees standing in the cart shed?

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. Wednesday, 2 May 2012. 5/1/2012 - What a day! Yesterday was quite the experience. We heard weather updates (hypothetical thoughts) on the weather channel about storms that were coming in. Yikers! I say yikes because Jason and Brent recently tore down our house entry, put it up on blocks, completed laying and supporting the floor and for the past week it's been sitting like that exposed. Before start...

Changed by Love...: Heavy heart...
http://springlelakane.blogspot.com/2014/01/heavy-heart.html
God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. Saturday, 4 January 2014. I feel like the older I get, the more sensitive I am to the battle around me. and at times it's too much to take. The darkness in this world is overwhelming. Lies and sin generate that darkness, and though it's disguised as pleasure and tells people what they want to hear, it's path leads to pain and suffering. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,. One Thing I Ask o...

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. Wednesday, 1 May 2013. On Mondays I recently started hanging out with Junior High girls from our youth group. After school, they walk on over to our place (one of the benefits of being within a few blocks of the middle and high school! As adults, are we coming alongside them? Are we discipling our youth? Are we letting them ask questions and willing to give them honest answers? From Our Home to Yours.

Changed by Love...: The battle of being still...
http://springlelakane.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-battle-of-being-still.html
God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. Wednesday, 20 May 2015. The battle of being still. Why is it so hard to be still? It's way too natural for me to fill my days with stuff. Random stuff. Sure, meaningful stuff. Mundane stuff. Useless stuff. It's way easy for me to go, go, go, GO! But soooo hard for me to be still. am I alone in this? God's been laying Psalm 46:10 on me lately,. Be still, and know that I am God.". The Lord is good to ...

petals and thistles: February 2012
http://petalsandthistles.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Ramblings along the road of life. Thursday, February 9. Extreme Makeover Kitchen Edition. Gosh, it has been a LONG time since I posted on here. Life gets crazy I guess. I get lazy I guess. Plus, I discovered Peggle. Two to three weeks max, right? Here's the before pictures. Our new stove is in the before photo). Started out painting the ceiling in living, dining, kitchen and entry. Possibly the least favorite part of the whole thing. : /. Then tearing out all the old cabinets. Only two and a half months ...
