DC Revisited: New York City, Part I
http://dcrevisited.blogspot.com/2008/07/new-york-city-part-i.html
Wednesday, July 16, 2008. New York City, Part I. 8217;, in which case the crowd yells in response. (I’ve always found that odd. How would you feel if you asked your friend how he was doing and he responded “WOOO YEAH! 8216;Uh, that doesn’t really answer my question…’) Instead of this semi-sensible question, though, emcees will often ask “Where’s [insert city of concert here] at? It’s exactly where you’re standing. 8221; Seriously, why are you going to pump up the crowd and then bring up the deceased?

DC Revisited: June 2008
http://dcrevisited.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 26, 2008. To the delight of many of you (of whom at least two have made themselves), my wannabe beard is now history. Now I have the goatee you see in the picture. Just kidding! I’m actually all baby-faced again, but decided to experiment a little before it all disappeared. I didn’t like what I saw, so I kept going until I was satisfied. Don’t worry, the rest of the hair on my head is still very much present. It’s so exciting! Sunday, June 22, 2008. Wednesday, June 18, 2008. I think this i...

DC Revisited: Hither and Thither
http://dcrevisited.blogspot.com/2008/07/hither-and-thither.html
Sunday, July 6, 2008. I must first apologize to you, faithful reader, for failing to update my blog for some week and a half (! There’s just been so much going on that I haven’t had time for it! The Institute and all activities pertaining thereto have kept me from the usual hour-long writing sessions that bear fruit in my sometimes amusing and often lengthy narratives. So now I must begin the arduous task of attempting to recall all the points of interest that occurred since last Tuesday. Subscribe to: P...

http://dcrevisited.blogspot.com/2008/06/eventful-weekend.html
Sunday, June 22, 2008. So after the workweek finished at 5:45 on Friday evening (I left a little early! That brings you up to date with my adventures! Work begins again tomorrow, and I literally discovered tonight that I’m going to a Washington Nationals baseball game with the Institute tomorrow evening, so there will be more athletic event stories to tell. As I used to tell my students when they turned in papers - proofread, please! Um, anyhoo, nice picture. And you were in charge of lunch? 2007, D.C.

DC Revisited: My First Session
http://dcrevisited.blogspot.com/2008/06/my-first-session.html
Wednesday, June 18, 2008. So I was trying to leave a post about your post being wonky, and my comment was, in fact, wonky. So here it is again, spelled correctly. Um, question. You really want me to write the lengthier previous post if I haven't already? Now, that just sends a mixed message. What if your audience doesn't feel like writing posts? What if it just feels like reading posts? June 18, 2008 at 2:58 PM. Also, when you say "church," to you mean, "turch? I think that's what you mean. 2007, D.C.

DC Revisited: July 2008
http://dcrevisited.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2008. My last week of work was fairly uneventful. In fact, it was kind of a let-down, because we were moving to a new studio right as I was leaving. Honestly, couldn’t we have done that about two weeks before so I could have been there once the move was actually complete? I left the studio with little fanfare, though the owner was very complimentary to me and said that I would be a great sound engineer. I rather appreciated that. To chill for the day. We wound up spending much of it ...
