Bandit and Smokey: Barack Obama accused of exaggerating terror threat for political gain
http://banditandsmokey.blogspot.com/2010/10/barack-obama-accused-of-exaggerating.html
Security, policing, intelligence and stupidity. Thursday, 7 October 2010. Barack Obama accused of exaggerating terror threat for political gain. Barack Obama accused of exaggerating terror threat for political gain World news The Guardian. I was very concerned, having spoken on local radio saying that this was bollocks and had more to do with the needs of US politics, that I might get caught out. Thank goodness I am not alone! Policing in Scotland: January 2006
http://scottishpolice.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
A Detective's perspective on Scottish Policing. Tuesday, January 10, 2006. License to go Nee-Naw Nee-Naw. Whilst perusing other blogs I noticed that on his 18th, December 2005 Blog non-mice (see second link in side-bar) mentioned the subject of all Police officers being unable to pursue suspects in vehicles whilst using the flashing lights and sirens. What do you do? Time will tell how this policy will pan out but I don't think it will be long before someone finds themselves at the wrong end of a dicipli...

Policing in Scotland: February 2006
http://scottishpolice.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
A Detective's perspective on Scottish Policing. Saturday, February 11, 2006. Hi Well I have updated the blog with the links that everyone requested-I even checked to see if they worked and everything! What in the Police is not called 'Quality Assurance' which if you are playing 'Buzzword Bingo' is always a good one. It basically means that someone can get away from the big bad world and sit inside drinking tea and criticising paperwork submitted by others! Anyway, where was I? Sunday, February 05, 2006.

Constableconfused.com: Three weeks in.
http://constableconfused.blogspot.com/2009/09/three-weeks-in.html
Tuesday, 1 September 2009. The travesty of justice has officially been on the streets of Notgreatside for the last 3 weeks. I am a common or garden response officer and I have been out on the streets with a taser for that time. It gets in the way when you get in the car, right where the seatbelt needs to go, just another piece of kit to fill my already full belt. To all the people protesting against human rights issues what would you prefer? I await the criticism. 1 September 2009 at 19:01. Do you think ...

http://constableconfused.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 26 January 2010. This may be my last post but I cannot confirm this at this time. It is quite strange being empowered by the Queen to use various powers and procedures to achieve your role but at the same time enduring situations at home which you would not allow whilst on duty. How many times have you stood on the front doorstep with the key in your hand wondering what was going to greet you when you opened the door? It is strange how people’s perspectives and attitudes change. Despit...This po...

Constableconfused.com: April 2009
http://constableconfused.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 30 April 2009. Guess what, despite his promises he didn't go out. He has only been here a week and in all fairness has been on parade with all 5 blocks. He is vocal, dismissive and very self righteous. All I know is that I was begging and stealing from other areas to get cars to go out in. We do tend to break ours around here! In light of my last post I felt somewhat justified in doing it. It however nailed just another another nail in the coffin of my belief that we are not even considered...

Constableconfused.com: March 2010
http://constableconfused.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, 8 March 2010. Despite the best efforts of certain annoying people you may be pleased to know that I have not killed myself. My only wish is that if anyone who was reading my blog and in a similar situation did not allow a certain persons comments affect their life to any great degree. I would hate to be Pete knowing that he may have driven some poor soul to suicide due to his obvious dislike for me. Thank you for your comments, it makes me realise just how rewarding an open forum can be. I wi...

Whichendbites: Two patients.
http://whichendbites.blogspot.com/2007/10/two-patients.html
Einstein : Not everything that can be counted counts. And not everything that counts can be counted. Monday, 8 October 2007. Two patients limp into two different medical surgeries with the similar complaints. Both have a great deal of trouble walking, both are in considerable pain and appear to need a hip replacement. This is later confirmed following all of the relevant examination processes. Why the different treatment for the two patients? Patient A is an MP; patient B isn't! Cynical, am I not? Patien...

Einstein : Not everything that can be counted counts. And not everything that counts can be counted. Wednesday, 17 October 2007. Whichendbites: ACPO concerns.
http://whichendbites.blogspot.com/2007/10/acpo-concerns.html
Einstein : Not everything that can be counted counts. And not everything that counts can be counted. Wednesday, 10 October 2007. It appears that heads have been above the parapet concerning a variety of statistics that can be wrongly interpretted and Forces unfairly criticised. If I believe the reports, Chief Constables have raised objections over rules that seem to pander to ethnic minority groups. Police minister Tony McNulty admits that curbing Police Bureaucracy remains a work in progress. The danger...
