Not a lot to see along the way other than lots and lots of space. West Texas scenery and a West Texas rest stop. We stopped at a park in Fort Stockton last night. We’ve come down to the gulf coast to a park that used to be Western Horizons park. It’s under new management and it is a mess. We’re signed on for 3 days but we’re going to leave tomorrow and head home to Arizona. Today is Sunday so we’re sticking around to watch football and take the dogs to the beach. Yesterday, my 65th birthday, Yvonne made Lobster Newburg for dinner.

We’re about 50 yards from the Atlantic Ocean and a couple of blocks from the Sound on the other side. The sound is large enough that you see the sunset in the water just like the ocean where you can see the sun rise in the morning. Here’s the beach just over the dunes from our place. We had wildlife to look at too. Lake Gaston, Virginia (and North Carolina).
