Saturday, March 12, 2011. Day 7 Friday March 11. Los Arcos to Logroño. The first four miles are always pretty easy. We stopped for a break in a lovely little town on a hill called Torre del Rio. I bought a postcard for Betty at the bar where we got coffee and bought a stamp around the corner in the main plaza at a tiny post office that also carried candy bars. Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Day 17 Monday March 21. It´s a bright sunny day with a deep blue sky. It reminds me of Napa weather, although I understand it´s rained a lot in Napa lately. We stop for our second breakfast this morning in a little town called Ledigos. I get an extra muffin so I can feed it to the dogs outside the cafe/bar door. One of them isn´t interested, but another one gobbles the muffin and follows us through town. Next Camino I´m carrying dog biscuits. Tonight we stop at a little city call...

Friday, March 18, 2011. Day 13 Thursday March 17. Burgos to Hontanas - almost 19 miles. It felt good to walk out of the big city this morning and get back on our solitary Camino. It is, however, a bit less solitary today. We have met several pilgrims along the way who have started their pilgrimage in Burgos. Our hotel is just opposite the church. The church bells chime on the hour. And every time they chime a whole bunch of geese start squawking. We both love this little town. Day 22 Saturday March 26.
