Sunday, August 24, 2014. JULY 20-22, 2013. First stop today is the Marc Sleen Museum. He is famous for his cartoon character Nero. Now to the Bande Dessinee, a museum with several exhibits of Belgian cartoon characters, most notably my favorite Tintin by Hergé. From Explorers on the Moon. Tintin; Captain Haddock; Calculus (Tournesol). Snowy (Milou); Bust of Tintin with picture of Hergé and Tintin. Cartoon strips of: Tintin; Snowy (Milou). Cartoon characters: Spirou; Lucky Luke; Captain "Joel" Haddock.

Took the early morning train to Amsterdam but along the way it stopped in Antwerp so I decided to get off and visit the city before I continue my journey to Holland. August 4, 2013. Arrived at Amsterdam Centraal and walked towards Barangay B&B where I stayed a couple of times before. Hosts Wimmo (Dutch) and Godwinn (Filipino). Sunday, August 24, 2014. AUGUST 10-18, 2013. Today is going to be a very busy day. Lots of places to go. First order of the day is to get a day pass for the Metro and go all the way to La Défense. A major business district of Paris which also contains the area's tallest high-rises. Next stop is the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile. Which stands in the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle (Place de l'Étoile. At the western end of the Champs-Élysée. Lunchtime so I decided to hop the Metro to go to Belleville.
