We left Anchorage on Aug 18 and rolled into Grand Junction 10:45pm Aug 25. Total mileage for the round trip was 9,735. Long way via roadway to and from Alaska. This WordPress.com site is the bee's knees. Monthly Archives: July 2014. July 25, 2014. Been awhile since last blog post. Internet access via iPad very infrequent. Navigating yet Blog using iPhone has been a challenge so hope this one goes thru. Past week we have been camping on the Kenai River near Cooper. landing and now 17 miles outside Soldotna. The seasonal salmon run is low in numbers but can change in a day. Consequently short on caught fish pictures. Hopefully some fish pictures yet to come.

This WordPress.com site is the bee's knees. August 8, 2014. We have had a couple great days fishing. Once again I will try to tag a few pictures on the tail of this note. We took a fly out over the Cook Inlet to the Kustatan River to fish silver salmon. We had a good flight and good fishing success getting our limit. Friday, July 4, 2014. Stage 10: Nogent-le -Rotrou to Versailles. Today's ride was the longest ride of the trip, 144 km ( 90 miles). Last night we had dinner at Buffalo Grill. It was next to our motel and easy to walk to, but of all the wonderful food we've had on the trip, this dinner reminded me too much of a copy of Sizzlers.
