This history is outlined in part in Nancy Turner’s The Earth’s Blanket. Where she contrasts the difference in values towards natural resources between the Native Americans of British Columbia and the Europeans. As I started reading I felt especially interested because of the feeling of connection I felt reading about the place I call home.
