This is my blog where I will be posting daily about my senior project. My senior project will begin with some volunteering and interning with my partner, Claire Morris. Then we will head off to Belize for a two week adventure of a lifetime as we are staying in an orphanage. Then when we return, we will intern once again at a hospital. An Adventure of a Lifetime. Going into the medical portions of our project I thought that I could see myself doing something in the medical field. After experiencing these two internships with pediatric oncology and trauma surgery, I will say that I do not see myself following this career path. An Adventure of a Lifetime. Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Daily Reflection Monday April 25th. Today was an early and emotional day. The anticipation was intense because we both knew we had to say goodbye to dozens of people we have grown so close to. I already miss these kids so much, so hopefully at some point in my life I will go back to Liberty Children's home. This has been the most life changing two weeks of my life. A four week journey to spend time with children in an orphanage, a day care, and in a hospital. Uring the second and third week, we will travel to Belize and volunteer in the orphanage. Before we leave for Belize, we plan on spending a good amount of time researching about where we are going, the orphanage, the culture, and more. The main focus of this project will be to create a short video that the orphanage and company could put on their website to show people what the orphanage is like.

I experienced so much being in another country and being able to be a part of these kid’s daily lives. The trust that was built from these kids amazed me and only made me want to stay longer.
